Rahul Gandhi Accepts Delhi Mandate, Vows to Continue Fight Against Corruption, Inflation, and Pollution

New Delhi – Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday acknowledged the mandate of Delhi and assured that the Congress party’s fight against pollution, inflation, and corruption will persist.

Taking to his social media platform X, Gandhi stated, “We humbly accept the mandate of Delhi. Heartfelt thanks to all the Congress workers of the state for their dedication and all the voters for their support. This fight for the progress of Delhi and the rights of Delhiites – against pollution, inflation, and corruption – will continue.”

Meanwhile, Delhi Congress Chief Devender Yadav echoed similar sentiments, calling the election results a reflection of the people’s rejection of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s governance.

In a post on X, Yadav remarked, “All the soldiers of the Congress party fought the battle for justice very strongly, but the results were not in our favour.” He assured that the party would introspect on its shortcomings and remain committed to working for the people of Delhi.

Despite fielding prominent candidates such as Sandeep Dikshit, Alka Lamba, and Ragini Naik, the Congress party failed to secure a single seat in the Delhi Assembly elections. The outcome underscores the challenges faced by the party in reclaiming political ground in the national capital.
