Quick Commerce Dominates India’s E-Grocery Market

Quick Commerce Dominates E-Grocery Market, Captures Two-Thirds of Orders in 2024: Report

Quick commerce (Q-commerce) has emerged as a game-changer in India’s e-grocery space, accounting for more than two-thirds of all online grocery orders and one-tenth of total e-retail spending in 2024, according to a report by Flipkart and Bain & Company.

The report highlights how Q-commerce, with its promise of deliveries in under 30 minutes, is transforming consumer buying behavior across India. With increasing adoption, Q-commerce is projected to grow at over 40% annually through 2030, driven by category expansion, geographical reach, and broader customer adoption.

“The dramatic rise of quick commerce has been one of the most defining hallmarks of India’s e-retail market over the last two years,” the report stated, emphasizing the rapid shift in consumer preference towards speed and convenience.

With platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and BigBasket Now leading the space, Q-commerce is expected to further redefine retail logistics, supply chains, and consumer expectations in the coming years.
