Priyanka Goswami Sets New National Record in 35km Race Walk

Commonwealth Games medallist Priyanka Goswami set a new national record in the women’s 35km race walk at the Dudinska 50 competition in Dudince, Slovakia.

Goswami clocked 2:56:34 on Saturday to finish 11th in the prestigious World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold Label event. Her previous best was 3:13:19, marking a significant improvement.

The two-time Olympian surpassed the previous national record of 2:57:54, set by Manju Rani at the 2023 National Open Race Walking Championships in Ranchi.

With this achievement, Goswami continues to cement her place among India’s top race walkers, showcasing her growing dominance on the international stage.
