Prime Minister Modi Condoles the Demise of Shri Ratan Tata, Hails Him as a Visionary Leader and Compassionate Soul

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Shri Ratan Tata, calling him a visionary business leader and an extraordinary human being who left an indelible mark on Indian society. In a heartfelt tribute shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister praised Tata’s leadership, philanthropic efforts, and his unwavering dedication to societal welfare.

“Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being,” Modi wrote. “He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom.”

Prime Minister Modi highlighted Ratan Tata’s humility and kindness, qualities that endeared him to many across the country. Tata’s philanthropic work, including his contributions to education, healthcare, sanitation, and animal welfare, reflected his passion for dreaming big and giving back to society.

“One of the most unique aspects of Shri Ratan Tata Ji was his passion towards dreaming big and giving back,” said the Prime Minister, commending Tata’s lifelong dedication to championing important causes.

The Prime Minister also reminisced about his personal interactions with Tata during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, describing them as enriching and insightful. “We would exchange views on diverse issues. I found his perspectives very enriching,” Modi said. These meetings, he added, continued when he moved to Delhi.

Concluding his message, Prime Minister Modi expressed profound grief over Ratan Tata’s passing, extending his condolences to Tata’s family, friends, and admirers. “Extremely pained by his passing away… Om Shanti,” he wrote.
