PM Modi Pays Tributes to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary, recalling his pivotal contributions to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building.

In a post shared on X, the Prime Minister said Dr. Prasad, who served as the first President of India, embodied “unmatched dignity, dedication and clarity of purpose” throughout his long public life. He highlighted that Dr. Prasad played key roles as a freedom fighter, President of the Constituent Assembly, and later as the head of state.

“His long years in public life were marked by simplicity, courage and devotion to national unity. His exemplary service and vision continue to inspire generations,” PM Modi wrote.
