‘Param Sundari’ Grosses ₹80 Crore Worldwide in 13 Days

Bollywood romantic drama “Param Sundari”, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has crossed the ₹80 crore gross worldwide mark within 13 days of its release, the makers announced on Thursday.

Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the film hit theatres on August 29. Despite facing competition from other releases, Ganpati festivities, and floods in northern India, the movie has maintained strong box office momentum.

In India, Param Sundari has collected ₹51.74 crore net, while overseas markets have also contributed significantly to its performance.

Sharing the update on Instagram, Malhotra wrote, “It’s your love that makes this journey so special. Thank you for making #ParamSundari yours. Big love and respect.”

Set against the scenic backwaters of Kerala, the story follows Param (Malhotra), a wealthy investor testing a matchmaking app, who gets paired with Sundari (Kapoor), a traditional homestay owner. Their unlikely connection unfolds into a tale of love across contrasting worlds.

The film’s music has also struck a chord with audiences, with tracks like “Pardesiya”, “Danger”, and “Bheegi Bheegi” trending on playlists and social media reels.

Producers said the film’s box office success highlights its universal appeal, with strong word-of-mouth driving both domestic and overseas collections.
