Odisha Vigilance Uncovers Crores in Assets Linked to Govt Official

The Odisha Vigilance Department on Thursday uncovered a massive cache of assets, including a two-storey building, two flats, nine high-value flats, and deposits worth Rs 61 lakh, allegedly linked to a government official.
The officer, serving at the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Bonai, Sundargarh district, is accused of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Vigilance officials conducted raids across multiple locations, including Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Jajpur, and Bonai. Seven teams were deployed to investigate the officer’s properties and financial holdings.
The raids, which were part of an ongoing probe into corruption and illegal assets, have raised serious concerns over the official’s wealth accumulation. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
