Odisha Vigilance Raids Properties of Additional BDO in DA Case

The Odisha Vigilance Department on Thursday launched simultaneous raids on the properties and offices of an Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) in connection with allegations of amassing disproportionate assets.

Acting on credible information, vigilance teams comprising eight Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), nine inspectors, and other supporting personnel carried out search operations at seven different locations linked to the ABDO of Dharmasala block in Jajpur district.

According to an official statement, the raids spanned across properties in Jajpur, Cuttack, Bhadrak, and Khurda (Bhubaneswar) districts. The action is part of an ongoing investigation into the officer’s alleged acquisition of assets beyond his known sources of income.

Further details regarding the extent of the assets or findings from the raids are expected to be disclosed following the completion of the search operations.
