Odisha to Witness ‘Big Political Revolution’: New Congress Chief

Newly appointed Odisha Congress president Bhakta Charan Das on Thursday declared that the state is on the brink of a “big political revolution,” with its foundation already being laid.

Marking his leadership, Das led the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) in a 60-km Sankalp Padayatra from Bhubaneswar to Puri’s Lord Jagannath Temple. The march symbolized the party’s commitment to bringing change in the state’s political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Das emphasized the Congress party’s renewed focus on public welfare, governance reforms, and strengthening grassroots connections. He asserted that Odisha’s political dynamics would witness a significant shift under his leadership.

The Congress, which has been struggling to regain its foothold in Odisha, aims to bolster its presence through mass outreach programs and aggressive campaigning. With the Sankalp Padayatra, the party hopes to energize its cadre and establish a stronger connection with the people.
