Odisha FC Drawn Against Jordan and Singapore Clubs in AFC Women’s Champions League
Indian football club Odisha FC has been drawn into Group B of the preliminary stage for the 2024-25 AFC Women’s Champions League. The draw, conducted in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, places Odisha FC alongside Jordan’s Etihad Club and Singapore’s Lion City Sailors FC.
As the champions of the 2023-24 Indian Women’s League, Odisha FC will represent India in this prestigious continental competition. The preliminary stage will be held in a centralized league format from August 25 to 31, with matches taking place in Jordan.
The preliminary stage features 13 teams divided into four groups—one group with four teams and three groups with three teams each. The top team from each group will advance to the 12-team group stage of the tournament, joining the eight clubs that have qualified directly.
Odisha FC’s participation marks an important milestone for Indian women’s football, as the club seeks to make a mark on the continental stage and secure a place in the main draw of the competition.
