Odisha CM’s Private Secretary Arindam Dakua Transferred in Bureaucratic Reshuffle

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Odisha government has transferred Arindam Dakua, the private secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with four other officers.

Dakua, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Municipal Administration and the ex-officio Additional Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department. This reshuffle was announced through a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievances Department on Thursday.

Notably, the post of private secretary to the Chief Minister has been left vacant, with no immediate appointment made for the position. The reshuffle is part of the ongoing administrative adjustments within the state government.

Arindam Dakua’s transfer marks a significant change in the Chief Minister’s office, though the reasons behind the move have not been explicitly stated. It is expected that this decision is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to streamline its administration and governance.

This reshuffle comes at a time when the Odisha government is focused on addressing key issues like farmer welfare and urban development, with the state making significant strides in these areas. The administrative changes are seen as part of the broader restructuring efforts aimed at enhancing efficiency in governance.
