Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Balasore district and urged officials to expedite rescue and relief efforts. The flood situation remains critical, particularly in the blocks of Baliapal, Jaleswar, and Bhograi, where heavy rainfall has caused widespread inundation.

Majhi stressed the need for swift action, instructing the district administration to ensure timely assistance to those affected. “One NDRF team, three ODRAF teams, and eight fire service teams are actively engaged in rescue and relief operations,” the Chief Minister informed reporters.

The state government is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating efforts to mitigate the impact of the floods.
