Odisha CM Presents ₹17,440 Crore Supplementary Budget for FY 2025–26

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the finance portfolio, on Friday presented a ₹17,440 crore supplementary budget for the 2025–26 fiscal year in the state assembly. The additional outlay aims to reinforce key ongoing schemes across crucial sectors, including food security, health, education, social security and urban infrastructure.

Presenting the budget, Majhi said it was designed keeping in mind the evolving needs and expectations of the people of Odisha. He emphasised that the supplementary allocation would help accelerate developmental initiatives already underway.

The main budget for FY 2025–26 stands at ₹2.90 lakh crore, while the supplementary budget will provide additional funding support to ensure continuity and strengthening of welfare and infrastructure programmes.

The government said the extra provisions are intended to maintain momentum in priority areas and ensure that essential schemes continue without disruption.
