Odisha CM on Two-Day Visit to Delhi for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Preparations
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has embarked on a two-day official visit to New Delhi to participate in key preparatory meetings for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), officials announced on Tuesday.
Majhi is set to attend a high-level meeting convened by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to review and finalize arrangements for the 18th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which will be hosted in Bhubaneswar from January 8-10 at Janata Maidan.
Focus on Event Readiness
The Chief Minister’s visit underscores the importance Odisha places on hosting this prestigious event. With approximately 7,000 delegates expected, the state government is working closely with the MEA to ensure flawless execution.
Speaking before his departure, Majhi said, “Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is a moment of pride for Odisha, and we aim to leave a lasting impression on our global diaspora through our culture, hospitality, and progress.”
