Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss the ongoing issues related to the supply of potatoes from West Bengal to Odisha.

Majhi sought Banerjee’s intervention to resolve the crisis caused by the “stoppage” of potato supplies, which has significantly affected the availability of this staple food in Odisha.

The meeting took place as both leaders were in the national capital to attend the Governing Council meeting of the NITI Aayog.
