Odisha CM Launches ₹800 Input Assistance for Paddy Farmers
In a significant initiative to support the farming community, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday rolled out an additional input assistance of ₹800 per quintal of paddy over and above the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹2,300 per quintal.
The state government disbursed ₹66 crore in additional input assistance to over 16,000 farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on the same day. The program was launched during a public gathering in Sohela, Bargarh district.
Addressing the farmers, CM Majhi stated, “Today marks a historic day for Odisha. This initiative will be etched in golden letters as we have ensured fair pricing for our farmers’ hard-earned produce.”
The scheme reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and improving the livelihood of paddy farmers across the state.
