Odisha Approves Industrial Projects Worth ₹44,793 Crore

Bhubaneswar, Jan 7 : The Odisha government has approved five major industrial projects worth ₹44,793.03 crore during the 38th High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting, signaling a transformative phase in the state’s industrial growth.

These projects span key sectors, including refinery and petrochemicals, green energy equipment, biotechnology, steel, and chemicals, and are strategically distributed across districts such as Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack, bolstering Odisha’s industrial base.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, marks the first HLCA session of 2025 and comes ahead of the much-anticipated Utkarsh Odisha 2025 summit.

Among the approved projects are:

  1. Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited: A ₹8,743 crore investment for a 4.00 MMT crude oil storage facility in Jajpur.
  2. Inox Solar Limited: A ₹4,000 crore solar module and photovoltaic cell manufacturing unit with a 4.8 GWe capacity in Dhenkanal.
  3. ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.: A ₹4,050.03 crore investment in a sustainable protein manufacturing plant in Cuttack, focusing on mushroom-root fermentative protein.
  4. Tata Steel Limited: A ₹26,175 crore cold-rolled and coated steel products facility (2.2 MTPA) and a plate mill (2 MTPA) in Jajpur.
  5. Himadri Green Technologies Innovation: A ₹1,825 crore facility in Cuttack for mineral oil and tire recycling products.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Majhi said, “The approval of these transformative projects ahead of Utkarsh Odisha 2025 underscores Odisha’s growing industrial prowess. These investments will create thousands of jobs, directly benefiting the people of our state.”

He further highlighted the success of roadshows held in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Singapore, which have attracted significant investor interest. “Our focus is to ensure that Odisha remains a top investment destination, driving progress and prosperity for our people,” Majhi added.

The approved projects are expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, cementing Odisha’s position as a major player in India’s economic development.
