Odisha Approves Investment Projects Worth ₹1.36 Lakh Crore
Bhubaneswar: In a significant boost to industrial development, the Odisha government has approved 20 major investment projects amounting to ₹1.36 lakh crore. The projects, which span nine diverse sectors, are expected to generate over 74,350 job opportunities, according to an official statement issued on Thursday.
The High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, granted approval for these investments, which are anticipated to accelerate the state’s economic growth.
The projects encompass sectors such as steel, chemicals, aluminium, aviation fuel, green energy and equipment, apparel and textiles, power and renewable energy, and cement. This diverse portfolio highlights the state’s focus on fostering industrial innovation while promoting sustainable and green initiatives.
Chief Minister Majhi expressed confidence that these projects would not only attract investments but also enhance employment opportunities, contributing to Odisha’s journey towards becoming a leading industrial hub.
