Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has directed all district collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to take strict action against malpractices during the upcoming class 10 and 12 state board exams. The directive comes ahead of the crucial examinations, which are set to begin soon.

Ahuja convened a video conference meeting with the collectors and SPs to discuss the measures necessary for ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams. The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that there are no disruptions or instances of cheating.

As many as 3.93 lakh students are expected to appear for the class 12 theory examinations, which will be conducted across 1,276 exam centers between February 18 and March 27. With the large number of students involved, authorities are on high alert to prevent any irregularities.

Ahuja emphasized that strict vigilance would be required at examination centers to prevent any unfair practices, such as copying or impersonation, and to ensure a fair environment for all students.

The state government has committed to taking all necessary steps to uphold the credibility of the exams and provide a level playing field for all candidates. As the date for the exams approaches, students, teachers, and exam officials are gearing up for a smooth and transparent process.
