Odisha Approves Investment Proposals Worth Over ₹4,000 Crore
The Odisha government on Wednesday cleared investment proposals totaling ₹4,222.24 crore, paving the way for the creation of 15,497 jobs in the state. The approval was granted by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, during a crucial meeting held ahead of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.’
The 25 approved projects span multiple sectors, including green energy equipment, pharmaceuticals, textiles, plastics, food processing, and downstream aluminum. These initiatives reflect the state’s commitment to fostering industrial growth and employment generation, an official said.
Highlighting Odisha’s growing appeal as an investment destination, the SLSWCA approved projects that align with the state’s focus on sustainable development and economic diversification. Among the noteworthy proposals are green energy equipment manufacturing units, which align with India’s push toward renewable energy, and downstream aluminum projects aimed at boosting value addition in the metal sector.
The approvals come as Odisha gears up to host the ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,’ a marquee business summit that aims to attract significant investments from global and domestic players. Scheduled to take place later this month, the event is expected to showcase Odisha’s industrial potential and create new opportunities for collaboration.
Speaking on the developments, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja expressed optimism about the approved projects’ impact on the state’s economy. “These investments not only reinforce Odisha’s position as a preferred investment destination but also underline our commitment to creating a conducive business environment,” he said.
With a focus on employment generation, sustainable growth, and industrial diversification, the state government continues to take significant strides toward transforming Odisha into a hub for manufacturing and innovation.
