Netflix, YRF Unite to Stream Classics

Netflix Partners with YRF to Stream Bollywood Classics Worldwide
In a major move for Indian cinema lovers across the globe, Netflix on Saturday announced a landmark collaboration with Yash Raj Films (YRF) to bring some of the studio’s most iconic movies to audiences in over 190 countries.
The partnership will see a curated line-up of YRF classics released in phases, coinciding with special occasions, festivals, and cinematic milestones. The initiative aims to celebrate the timeless legacy of Indian cinema and make these beloved films accessible to new generations of viewers.
To mark superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, Netflix will begin streaming nine of his most memorable films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer-Zaara, and Chak De! India, starting Saturday.
Yash Raj Films, one of India’s most successful film studios, has long been known for its iconic romantic dramas and family entertainers that have shaped Bollywood’s golden era.
Netflix said the collaboration reflects its continued commitment to bringing India’s rich cinematic heritage to a global audience, following its growing catalogue of regional and Hindi-language classics.
With this partnership, film enthusiasts worldwide can relive the magic of YRF’s storytelling — from the mustard fields of DDLJ to the patriotic spirit of Chak De! India.
