NEP 2020 to Empower Youths and Build a Modern India: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday emphasized the transformative potential of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in preparing students and youths to contribute to building a modern and empowered India.

Inaugurating a three-day national workshop on the NEP in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister hailed the policy as a significant step toward achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘viksit Bharat’ (developed India). Majhi expressed optimism about the policy’s role in fostering quality education, strengthening infrastructure, and shaping a skilled and innovative generation.

“The NEP will provide a robust foundation for quality education at the primary level while equipping the youth with the tools to contribute meaningfully to India’s growth and development. It will also ensure equitable access to opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds,” Majhi said.

Highlighting the policy’s comprehensive approach, Majhi noted its focus on innovation, multidisciplinary learning, and the integration of technology in education. He stated that the NEP would play a crucial role in empowering young minds with the skills and knowledge necessary for the 21st century.

The workshop, attended by educationists, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the country, aims to discuss strategies for implementing the NEP effectively. Sessions will focus on addressing challenges and leveraging opportunities to make the vision of the NEP a reality.

As the NEP continues to be rolled out across the nation, Majhi reiterated Odisha’s commitment to aligning with its objectives and fostering a progressive educational ecosystem.
