Neeraj Chopra Finishes Second in Diamond League Final, Falls Short by 1cm

Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed out on the Diamond League title for the second consecutive year, finishing second with a throw of 87.86 meters in the season finale in Brussels on Saturday. The 26-year-old Chopra, who had won the Diamond League trophy in 2022, achieved his best throw of the day in his third attempt but fell short of eventual winner Anderson Peters’ 87.87m effort by just 1 centimeter.

Grenada’s Peters, a two-time world champion, produced his best throw of the day in his opening attempt. Julian Weber of Germany was third with 85.97 meters.
