Navy Official Missing: CCTV Footage Shows Last Moments at Andhra Railway Station

A 26-year-old Navy official, Sourav Kumar Patra, has been reported missing since Sunday, creating concern among his family and authorities. The Odisha Police have revealed that Patra was last spotted on CCTV footage at Ichchapuram railway station in Andhra Pradesh, where he was seen disembarking from a train and leaving the station in an autorickshaw.

Patra, who hails from Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district, was traveling to join his duty at a Naval unit located in Kochi, Kerala. He set out in the early hours of Sunday and was expected to reach his destination later that day. His sudden disappearance has raised alarm bells as authorities search for clues regarding his whereabouts.

Family members reported his absence after he failed to arrive for his duty, prompting a swift response from the local police. Investigators have started to analyze CCTV footage from the railway station and have been in contact with local autorickshaw drivers to gather more information about his last known movements.

“At this point, we are focused on retracing his steps after he left the railway station. We are also checking for any other surveillance footage in the vicinity,” said a police officer involved in the investigation.

As the search for Sourav Kumar Patra continues, local authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the growing concerns for the safety of individuals traveling alone and the importance of timely communication with family and friends.
