Naveen Patnaik, the leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has instructed party MLAs to closely monitor the activities of various government departments and address related issues in the Odisha Assembly. This directive was announced in a party release on Wednesday.

With the BJD holding 51 seats, including Patnaik’s own, in the 147-member Odisha Assembly, the party is taking a proactive approach to ensure effective governance and address departmental issues. Each MLA has been assigned specific departments to oversee, and they are expected to raise relevant concerns and interventions in the assembly sessions.

Patnaik’s strategy aims to enhance accountability and streamline the functioning of government departments by leveraging the legislative influence of BJD MLAs. This move underscores the party’s commitment to addressing administrative challenges and improving the delivery of public services.
