JP Nadda to Launch Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Odisha on Friday

Union Health Minister JP Nadda will launch the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) in Odisha on Friday, marking a significant step in expanding health coverage across the state.

Nadda is expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar around 1 PM, following which he will travel to Cuttack for a special event. The launch ceremony will be attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior leaders, including BJP state president Manmohan Samal.

During the event, three major health assurance schemes will be officially rolled out in the state—Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Vayo-Vandana Yojana, and the state-specific Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY).

BJP state chief Manmohan Samal said that the combined schemes are expected to benefit approximately 3.5 crore people across Odisha, significantly enhancing access to affordable and quality healthcare.

The launch marks a milestone in the state’s healthcare reforms and is expected to provide financial protection for millions of families against catastrophic health expenses.
