New Delhi, March 5 : — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to legendary Odisha leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on his birth anniversary, recalling his immense contribution to the state’s development and his enduring legacy in public life.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Modi remembered Patnaik’s unwavering commitment to public service and his passion for Odisha’s progress.

“On his birth anniversary today, I pay tributes to Shri Biju Patnaik Ji and remember his passion towards furthering the progress of Odisha,” the Prime Minister said.

Biju Patnaik, a towering political figure in Odisha, served as the Chief Minister of the state twice and played a pivotal role in shaping its political and developmental trajectory. Known for his bold leadership and administrative foresight, he was widely respected not only for his governance but also for his role in India’s freedom struggle and his remarkable achievements as an aviator.
