In a shocking incident, four armed miscreants looted Rs 5 lakh from a businessman in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Tuesday night, police reported on Wednesday.

The robbery occurred near Barabati Chhaka on National Highway 16, when businessman Jitendra Das was traveling in his vehicle. According to Das’s complaint, the miscreants intercepted his car, broke the glass, and snatched his bag containing the cash.

The criminals fled the scene before Das could react, leaving him in a state of shock. Local authorities have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the culprits.
