BJP Reappoints Manmohan Samal as Odisha Unit President
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday officially reappointed Manmohan Samal as the president of its Odisha unit, reaffirming his leadership role within the state.
The announcement was made by the party’s central election observer Sanjay Jaiswal during a formal event held at the BJP’s state headquarters in Bhubaneswar. Senior party leaders and workers were present during the occasion.
According to Jaiswal, Samal was the only candidate to file nomination for the post and was therefore elected unopposed. “There was unanimous support for his leadership. His experience and dedication to the party’s growth in Odisha make him the natural choice,” he said.
Manmohan Samal, a veteran leader with a strong organisational background, previously held the same position and is expected to lead the party into the next phase of its political strategy in the state. His reappointment comes shortly after the BJP formed the government in Odisha for the first time, under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Party leaders expressed confidence that Samal’s continued leadership will further strengthen the BJP’s base across the state and help consolidate recent electoral gains.
Speaking to reporters, Samal thanked the party leadership and cadre for their trust and vowed to work tirelessly to uphold the party’s ideals and serve the people of Odisha.
