Majhi Presents ₹12,156-Cr Supplementary Budget in Odisha Assembly
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday tabled a ₹12,156-crore supplementary budget for the 2024-25 fiscal in the state assembly.
Presenting the supplementary statement of expenditure, Majhi, who also serves as the state’s Finance Minister, said the budget aims to address funding requirements for public welfare and developmental initiatives. The primary focus is on reallocating resources and utilizing tied-up funds from various sources.
“The proposed allocation will cater to the additional expenditure needed for the completion of critical ongoing projects and centrally sponsored schemes,” Majhi stated.
The supplementary budget underscores the state’s commitment to sustaining developmental momentum and fulfilling public welfare priorities.
