Retired IAS Officer M S Padhi Assumes Charge as Odisha State Election Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Retired IAS officer Madhusudan Padhi officially took charge as the State Election Commissioner of Odisha on Friday.

Padhi, a 1991-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was appointed to the position by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. He succeeds retired IAS officer Aditya Prasad Padhi.

With extensive administrative experience, Padhi is expected to oversee the electoral processes in the state and ensure free and fair elections. His appointment comes at a crucial time as Odisha prepares for upcoming polls.

Padhi’s leadership in the State Election Commission is anticipated to strengthen the democratic framework in Odisha, ensuring transparency and efficiency in electoral procedures.
