Light Rain, Cloudy Weather in Odisha as Deep Depression Forms in Bay of Bengal
Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha experienced light rainfall and overcast skies on Friday as a deep depression formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal. The formation of this weather system led to drizzle in the state capital, Bhubaneswar, which is preparing for the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day.
Bhubaneswar saw a blanket of clouds cover the skies this morning, in line with the weather conditions brought on by the deep depression along the coastal areas of the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rainfall to continue in several districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati, till 8:30 AM on Saturday.
The deep depression is expected to influence weather patterns in Odisha for the next few days, with intermittent rain and cloudy weather anticipated across many regions. Authorities have urged residents to stay updated on weather advisories as conditions evolve.
