KRAFTON Eyes Investment, Acquisitions in Growing Indian Gaming Market

South Korean gaming giant KRAFTON, the company behind the popular esports title Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), is looking to expand its presence in India through investments and acquisitions.

India, one of KRAFTON’s top five global markets, is witnessing a surge in mobile gaming, driven by rapid smartphone adoption and a young, tech-savvy population. Acknowledging this growth, KRAFTON India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn stated that the gaming sector in India is set to become even more sizable and impactful.

Sohn emphasized that KRAFTON remains open to new investments in the country without any fixed limits. The company has already invested $200 million in India to support the gaming ecosystem.
