KIIT DU Signs MoU with Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

Bhubaneswar: KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT DU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon, a premier professional body representing chemists in Sri Lanka. This strategic collaboration aims to foster academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs in the field of chemistry.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage, President of the Institute of Chemistry, Sri Lanka, and a distinguished academic from the Department of Chemistry, University of Kelaniya, along with Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT DU. The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS; Dr. Thelma Abeysinghe from the Department of Chemistry, Open University of Sri Lanka; and Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU.

This partnership is set to facilitate various collaborative efforts, including joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Saranjit Singh emphasized the importance of global collaborations in fostering innovation and excellence in scientific research.
