Kharif Paddy Procurement Begins in Odisha

The Odisha government on Wednesday inaugurated the Kharif paddy procurement season, starting the process in Bargarh district.
Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister KC Patra marked the occasion with a special puja at the Kalapani market yard, a government mandi in Bargarh.
Speaking at the event, Minister Patra highlighted the government’s commitment to farmers, stating, “The BJP has fulfilled its promise made during the Assembly election. From today, farmers will receive Rs 3,100 per quintal for their paddy.”
The procurement is expected to provide significant relief and support to farmers, ensuring fair pricing and financial stability during the harvest season.
