Kangana Deletes Trump Post, Regrets Opinion

Kangana Ranaut Deletes Post on Donald Trump, Says She Regrets Sharing ‘Very Personal Opinion’

Actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has deleted a controversial social media post about former US President Donald Trump following a directive from BJP national president J.P. Nadda. In a statement issued on Thursday, Ranaut expressed regret over sharing what she described as a “very personal opinion” publicly.

The now-deleted post reportedly commented on Trump’s alleged advice to Apple CEO Tim Cook, urging him not to manufacture in India. The remarks triggered significant attention online, prompting swift political response.

Taking to social media, Ranaut clarified her decision:
“Respected national president Shri @JPNadda ji called and asked me to delete the tweet I had posted regarding Trump asking Apple CEO Tim Cook not to manufacture in India,” she wrote. “I regret sharing my very personal opinion on such a sensitive matter.”

Ranaut, known for her outspoken views on both political and global affairs, has often been at the center of controversy. Since her induction into the Bharatiya Janata Party and subsequent election to Parliament, her statements have come under increased scrutiny.

Party sources suggest the move was aimed at maintaining diplomatic decorum, especially given the sensitive nature of international trade and foreign policy issues. While Ranaut did not elaborate further on the content of the post, her quick response indicates an effort to align with party leadership.

As of now, the BJP has not issued an official statement on the matter. However, political observers note that the incident reflects the balancing act celebrities-turned-politicians must maintain between personal expression and party protocol.
