Jupiter International to Set Up Solar Cell, Module Unit in Odisha with ₹2,005 Crore Investment

Jupiter International has signed an agreement with the Odisha government to establish a photovoltaic solar cell and module manufacturing unit in the state with an investment of ₹2,005 crore.

The facility, which will be developed through its subsidiary Jupiter Renewables, is set to have an annual production capacity of 4.2 GW for solar cells and 3.6 GW for modules, the company announced in a statement.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar, highlighting the state’s commitment to renewable energy and industrial growth.

The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and strengthen India’s renewable energy sector. Odisha’s favorable policies and infrastructure are attracting major investments in clean energy, aligning with the country’s push for sustainability and self-reliance in solar manufacturing.
