Reliance Jio Crosses 5 Lakh JioFiber and JioAirFiber Subscribers in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, July 1 — In a major milestone for digital connectivity in Odisha, Reliance Jio has surpassed 5 lakh subscribers for its JioFiber and JioAirFiber services, becoming the first and only service provider in the state to achieve this feat.
According to the latest subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio had over 3.27 lakh JioFiber users and 1.8 lakh JioAirFiber users in Odisha as of May 31, 2025.
Jio’s leadership in Odisha’s home broadband sector is underlined by its market share of over 63 percent. In May alone, Jio contributed more than 75 percent of all new customer additions in the wireline and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) segments across the state.
In the wireline segment, Jio’s subscriber base stands at more than double that of its closest competitor. Similarly, in the FWA segment, JioAirFiber dominates with over 84 percent market share, commanding a subscriber base that is five times larger than the next leading provider.
In May 2025 alone, Jio added over 34,000 new JioFiber and JioAirFiber users in Odisha—out of a total of 45,593 new additions recorded across both segments in the state.
Nationally, Jio added 9.9 lakh new JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in May.
Jio’s FWA solution, JioAirFiber, has emerged as a game-changer in enhancing last-mile digital access, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. The service offers high-speed internet along with access to over 800 TV channels, 11+ OTT platforms, unlimited Wi-Fi, and more, empowering students, professionals, families, and entrepreneurs alike.
Reliance Jio’s rapid expansion and dominance in Odisha reflect a broader digital transformation in the state, bridging the urban-rural divide and enabling inclusive growth through high-quality broadband connectivity.
