Reliance Jio Launches AI Classroom Drive to Make Teachers, Students AI-Ready in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 : Reliance Jio has initiated a large-scale drive to make thousands of teachers and students across Odisha AI-ready under its mission ‘AI for Everyone’, through the Jio AI Classroom programme.

As part of the initiative, over 5,000 teachers and students from more than 650 schools across the state have already enrolled in the free, structured national AI training programme, aimed at preparing educators and learners for an AI-powered future, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Jio AI Classroom programme focuses on building foundational AI skills among teachers and students from Class VI to Class XII. The four-week learning journey covers key areas such as AI fundamentals, generative AI models, effective prompting, and the practical use of AI tools to enhance learning and creativity. Participants are trained to apply AI in solving problems, creating art, music and stories, and developing smarter real-world solutions.

The programme consists of four modules, featuring video lectures, PDF study material, reference videos, quizzes and assignments. Upon completion, learners receive a completion badge, while those accessing the course exclusively through JioPC are eligible for a Jio Institute certification, validating both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

AI workshops are being conducted in schools and colleges across Odisha, enabling students and teachers to gain hands-on exposure to advanced AI tools. The initiative also empowers teachers to integrate AI into daily academic activities such as lesson planning, grading, assessments and question paper preparation.

Students can enrol and complete the course via jio.com/ai-classroom using a desktop or laptop, gaining practical experience in areas like website development, presentations, content creation and guided AI projects.

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) focus on digital upskilling, the initiative allows learners to earn a skill certification from the Jio Institute, strengthening their academic and professional prospects.

Additionally, JioPC has announced an AI Classroom Scholarship, offering learners who complete the AI foundation course subsidised access to JioPC, enabling them to work on AI projects and experiments without the need to invest in expensive computing devices.

The initiative underscores Reliance Jio’s commitment to democratizing AI education and expanding future-ready digital skills across the education ecosystem in Odisha.
