Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar arrived in Odisha on Monday evening to attend the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, scheduled to take place later this week.

Upon his arrival at Bhubaneswar airport, Jaishankar was warmly received by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, and State BJP President Manmohan Samal.

Following the reception, the minister proceeded directly to Konark, where he is set to spend the night before participating in the convention’s activities.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, a significant event celebrating the contributions of overseas Indians, is expected to draw prominent personalities from across the globe and highlight India’s engagements with its diaspora.
