PM Modi Shares Article Showcasing India’s Digital Transformation in Broadband, UPI and Governance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared an article authored by Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia that highlights India’s remarkable progress in the fields of affordable broadband, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and digital governance.

In his response, the Prime Minister emphasized that these advancements have now become a global case study, demonstrating India’s leadership in harnessing technology for inclusive growth and transparency.

“Union Minister Shri @JM_Scindia highlights that India’s progress in affordable broadband, UPI and digital governance is now a global case study. He underscores that in the next wave of 5G, AI, IoT and cybersecurity, India will lead and set benchmarks,” PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The article by Scindia detailed how India’s robust digital public infrastructure, particularly the success of UPI in revolutionizing payments, has positioned the country at the forefront of the digital economy. It also shed light on how the government’s focus on expanding broadband connectivity has bridged the rural-urban divide and empowered citizens with accessible, reliable, and affordable internet services.

Experts believe that with the rollout of 5G and rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and cybersecurity, India is poised to set new global standards in digital transformation, offering scalable models for other nations.

This recognition adds to India’s growing reputation as a global leader in digital innovation and governance, reinforcing its vision of becoming a knowledge-based, technology-driven economy.
