Indian 4x400m Relay Teams Miss Out on Paris Olympics Finals
The Indian men’s and women’s 4x400m relay teams were unable to secure a spot in the final round of the Paris Olympics, falling short of their goals in their respective heat races on Friday.
The men’s relay team, comprising Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Muhammed Ajmal, Amoj Jacob, and Rajesh Ramesh, finished 10th overall in the heats. Despite delivering a season’s best performance with a time of 3 minutes and 0.58 seconds, the team’s fourth-place finish in Heat 2 was insufficient to advance to the final. The top three teams from each of the two heats, plus the next two fastest overall, secured spots in the final, leaving the Indian team just outside the qualification zone.
The women’s relay team also faced disappointment, as they too failed to progress past the heats. Their performance did not meet the qualifying standards required to make it to the final round of the competition.
The Indian relay teams’ efforts were notable, but ultimately they fell short of the mark needed to compete in the final rounds of the Olympic events. This outcome highlights the competitive nature of the relay events and the challenges faced by teams aiming for podium finishes on the global stage.
Both teams will look to regroup and refine their strategies as they prepare for future competitions, with the goal of improving their performances and achieving better results in upcoming international events.
