India to unveil revised NDC by December

Climate change real, India to declare NDC by Dec: Yadav at UN COP30

India will publish its revised Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for the 2035 commitment period by December, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav announced on Monday at the high-level segment of the UN COP30 Climate Summit.

Calling climate change “real and imminent,” Yadav said the crisis is a result of unsustainable development and consumption patterns, and urged developed nations to accelerate their climate responsibilities.

“Developed countries must reach net zero far earlier than current target dates, fulfil obligations under Article 9.1 of the Paris Agreement, and deliver new, additional and concessional climate finance estimated in trillions of dollars,” he said.

Yadav reiterated that India remains committed to climate action but stressed that equitable global efforts and substantial financial support are essential for developing countries to meet their climate goals.
