India, EU Conclude 14th Round of Free Trade Talks in Brussels

Senior officials from India and the 27-nation European Union (EU) concluded the 14th round of negotiations for a proposed free trade agreement (FTA) in Brussels, officials confirmed.

The five-day talks, which began on October 6, focused on resolving differences related to trade in goods and services, aiming to fast-track the conclusion of the FTA.

In the final days of the negotiations, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal joined the Indian delegation to provide additional momentum and strategic guidance to the discussions.

The talks are part of ongoing efforts by both sides to strengthen economic and trade ties, improve market access, and enhance cooperation in sectors ranging from manufacturing to services.

Officials said both parties remain committed to early conclusion of the FTA, which is expected to boost bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration between India and the EU.
