HFCL Reports ₹32 Crore Q1 Loss

HFCL Posts ₹32 Crore Loss in Q1 FY26 as Revenue Declines Sharply
Telecom equipment manufacturer HFCL Ltd reported a net loss of ₹32.24 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2025–26, marking a sharp reversal from a profit of ₹111.30 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company’s revenue from operations also saw a significant decline, falling to ₹871 crore in Q1FY26 from ₹1,158 crore in Q1FY25, as per a regulatory filing submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The dip in performance is attributed to weak demand and reduced order execution during the quarter, as the telecom and infrastructure sectors continue to face subdued capital expenditure cycles.
HFCL, which manufactures a range of telecom and networking products including optical fiber cables and telecom infrastructure solutions, had seen robust growth in previous quarters but faced headwinds in Q1 due to a slowdown in large-scale infrastructure deployments.
The company is expected to focus on cost optimization and strategic project execution to improve margins in the coming quarters. Analysts will closely watch its performance in the remainder of FY26, especially as 5G and rural broadband expansion projects resume momentum.
