Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday morning to inaugurate the ‘Utkarsh Odisha, Make in Odisha Conclave’, a major business summit aimed at boosting industrial investment in the state.

The event, held at Janata Maidan, was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, several Union ministers, and top industrialists from across the country. According to officials, around 7,500 delegates are participating in the two-day conclave, which seeks to showcase Odisha as an emerging hub for manufacturing and industrial growth.

Speaking at the inaugural session, PM Modi emphasized the importance of Odisha’s strategic location, rich natural resources, and skilled workforce in driving the nation’s economic progress. He highlighted the central government’s commitment to supporting Odisha’s industrial development through various policy initiatives and investments.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi welcomed the delegates and stressed the state government’s efforts to create a business-friendly environment. The conclave is expected to attract significant investments across key sectors, including steel, mining, textiles, and renewable energy.

The Make in Odisha Conclave has gained prominence as a platform for business leaders, policymakers, and investors to explore opportunities in the state. Over the next two days, industry leaders and government officials will engage in discussions, MoU signings, and panel sessions focused on industrial expansion, infrastructure development, and employment generation.

The event is expected to pave the way for substantial investments and reinforce Odisha’s position as a preferred destination for businesses and industries.
