The Odisha government has extended the deadline for e-KYC (Know Your Customer) verification of ration cards till February 15, Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra announced on Thursday.

The verification process, initially scheduled to conclude on January 31, has been extended following multiple requests from the public. “Considering the requests of people, the government has decided to extend the deadline till February 15,” the minister told reporters.

The e-KYC verification is mandatory for beneficiaries under the Public Distribution System (PDS) to ensure transparency and eliminate discrepancies. The process helps authenticate the details of ration cardholders and ensures that the benefits reach the deserving beneficiaries.

The government has urged all eligible ration cardholders to complete their e-KYC verification within the extended deadline to avoid any inconvenience in availing ration benefits. Beneficiaries can complete the process through designated centers or online portals.
