Heavy Rains Expected in Odisha Over the Next Four Days
Odisha is bracing for heavy rainfall over the next four days as a low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal, the Regional Meteorological Centre announced on Thursday.
The low-pressure system has developed over the central and adjoining northern Bay of Bengal and is expected to intensify further over the next two days, moving northwestwards towards the Odisha coast, said Manorama Mohanty, Director of the Regional Met Centre.
“Under its impact, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in many places across Odisha over the next four days,” Mohanty stated.
The weather office has urged residents to stay alert and take necessary precautions in light of the expected heavy rainfall. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond to any emergencies that may arise from the adverse weather conditions.
This weather forecast is critical as heavy rainfall can lead to flooding and disrupt daily life in the affected areas. Residents are advised to stay informed through official channels and adhere to any safety advisories issued by local authorities.
