Govt to Introduce New Measures to Boost Exports: Piyush Goyal
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said the government will soon roll out a series of measures aimed at strengthening India’s exports, both domestically and globally.
Speaking at an industry event, Goyal assured stakeholders that the upcoming initiatives will support all sectors by expanding domestic outreach and identifying complementarities in international markets.
“I can assure each one of you that in the days ahead, the government will be coming out with a variety of measures to support every sector, both to expand the domestic outreach and look for complementarities in other markets around the world to expand our global foray so that this year, our exports will exceed last year’s exports,” Goyal said.
Emphasising optimism about India’s trade performance, the minister added, “This year will define our self-confidence.”
The government’s planned measures come at a time when India is looking to enhance its export competitiveness, diversify markets, and strengthen its position in global trade.
