SAMBALPUR (Odisha), Apr 10: In response to the soaring temperatures, the Sambalpur district administration in Odisha has revised the working hours of all government offices and courts under its jurisdiction. The new timings, effective from Thursday, are aimed at ensuring the well-being of employees during the ongoing heatwave.

As per an official order issued by the Sambalpur district collector, all state government offices, including revenue and executive magistrate courts, will now operate from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM without any lunch break. This revised schedule will remain in effect until June 15, 2025.

The usual working hours for these offices are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a designated lunch break. The change has been made to minimize exposure to extreme heat during the peak afternoon hours.

The district administration has urged all departments to adhere strictly to the revised schedule and ensure that public services remain unaffected despite the altered timings.
